About

This blog was created in August of 2010 by E., also known as Quercivorous. It was created because she had been without blogging for a while, though of course she has mantained a number of micro-blogging sites and networking profiles: she has a Facebook (private), a Twitter, and a Tumblr. Oh, and a Livejournal. She’s been blogging on-and-off since circa 2002 (one of her early blogs can be found here, the others have been lost after deletion, and the server weblogger.com.br disappearing).

The origin of the word “quercivorous” as the blog’s title comes from the Adopt-a-Word initiative by the Oxford English Dictionary, and it means “feeding on oak leaves” (according to wiktionary). It’s pretty nice to use, and so this blog moved from “Indo-European Extraterrestrial Language” (sic) to its current encarnation.
